Technology impacts every aspect of our students’ lives and will continue to play an important role in their lives. Teachers who integrate technology effectively help their students realize the potential we have to transform the world with our use of technology. They inspire their students to innovate, create, collaborate, and problem-solve with technology. They also encourage students to reflect on the ethical issues that arise, such as fake news, proper attribution, bias in artificial intelligence, data and privacy issues, cyberbullying, and digital wellness. The learning theories and frameworks below help us reflect on the way student learning is impacted by technology so that our curriculum and use of technology in the classroom helps students thrive.
