Teachers as Leaders and Continuous Learners: Interview with Dr. Doug Green

Interview 9 of Twittering for Education

In order for educators to lead education transformation, we must learn to be leaders and strive to be continuous learners. Social media such as Twitter, Facebook, Nings, and blogs help educators share resources and learn from each other and experts in their fields. When educators take their professional development in their own hands and continue to be lifelong learners then we become role models for our students. Several books also help inspire us and motivate us to become leaders in our schools. One of the major challenges is finding the time to read the books or figure out which ones are the best to read for our situation. Dr. Doug Green, my special guest this past week, makes finding these inspirational books much easier through the several reviews on his website. Listen to his interview where he also shares some incredible advice on how to be a teacher leader!
