8 Top Tips and Tons of Resources for Supporting English Learners with Technology

“The limits of my language are the limits of my world.” – Ludwig Wittgenstein

I’ve worked with language learners in over 20 countries. I’ve seen first hand how technology can be used in incredible ways to motivate and engage language learners of any age. Even with little access to technology teachers can add background music to a story or show students a short clip to spark conversation or inspire ideas for writing. I regularly share free web tools, resources, and tips on ESL Library to help teachers find great resources to use with their learners. Below are a list of the articles I’ve written in 2018. 1. I took Shelly’s TESOL Methodologies course and had an awesome and absolutely enlightening experience. One of my most important takeaways was the perfect organization of the course. Also, I was super excited by the great support I received as a participant. The content and the topics covered were hugely engaging. I acquired valuable knowledge and practical ideas to improve my instruction. I learned tons of tools to support my ELLs and their families. I really love that even after finishing the course, I still have access to all the amazing resources provided throughout the modules. I highly recommend taking Shelly Terrell’s course as a fantastic source of Professional Development.
