ISTE Highlights: Tips for Effective Blended Learning

1 min read

asset1This morning, I attended the Blended Learning Panel moderated by Vicki Davis with panelists- Thomas Arnett, Jonathan Bergmann, Mike Gwaltney, Aaron Sams, and Stephanie Sandifer. I found the panel extremely informational for anyone integrating technology and also flipped learning. Vicki Davis organized the panel to answer each topic quickly as short mini presentations which made the hour go by quickly. The panelists discussed current models of blended learning and provided visual examples of what these models looked like in various schools, classroom structure, open education resources (OER), learning management systems (LMS), creating flipped videos, flipped instruction, workflow, and challenges. One of the best tools demonstrated was Screencastify, chrome tool that records what is in a tab. The free version records up to 10 minutes.
